So, tomorrow we start our weekend teaching series on Christmas. We decided to build another set design for it and decided to try our hand at making a fireplace. Editor's Note: Picture Tom Hanks in Castaway shouting "I made fire!". That's how we decided to do this. I think that it turned out pretty nice.
Editor's Note: Of course, just like the last time we built something, I sliced my hand open a couple of times. If I can't stop cutting my hands while building sets, we'll have to stop building sets. That, or build them out of pillows and spaghetti noodles.
Here's my favorite part of the set up: we found a Snowflake Touch Switch to turn the tree on and off with. You plug your lights into the ornament, then the ornament into the wall and all you have to do is touch the snowflake and the whole tree comes on! We also hooked up our fire to it so that everything comes on at once. Here's a pic:
Hopefully, the kids will love it.
By the way, I have no idea what the title of this post means. I remember, when I was growing up, my aunt would always sing it around Christmas time...
