Today Was a Good Day...

Here are some interesting things about today:

1) This morning, when I went to Target to puchase my copy of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, I saw a woman walking out of the store wearing a Barry Manilow concert t-shirt. "Josh," you may ask, "why is that blog-worthy?" Well, dear readers, it's blog-worthy because it may, in fact, be the first time that someone has ever shown their support of the Copacabana singer in public in t-shirt form. I always thought that the concert t-shirt was reserved exclusively for Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, and others of their ilk. I had no idea Manilow-moes rolled that way.

2) I also saw an old man sitting in his car in the passenger seat all alone. I thought to myself, "I hope when I'm old my wife lets me go into Target with her."

3) Our annual Church Staff Christmas Lunch was today. Every year, our pastor treats us to an amazing lunch at a restaurant called the Boathouse down past the airport. He also gets us some pretty rockin' gifts. This year, it was a Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers for iPod. Mmm Hmmm...

4) One of our pastors celebrated being at our church for 10 years. Not a common thing, unfortunately, in most churches. Congrats Rod. You're truly one of my heroes man...
