Get Up, Come On Get Down With the Sickness...

Last week, while I was in Tahoe, one of my students' moms emailed me about getting her daughter registered for winter camp. It just so happens that this student's mom is married to one of my volunteers; her dad. So, I said that I would swing by his office today and drop off the registration. But, bad news: he went home early because he got sick. So, I had a great idea.

I decided to make him a care package.

When I was a kid, and I got sick, my mom used to make sure that I ate three things: Chicken Noodle Soup, Ginger Ale, and Saltine Crackers. To be completely honest, I have no idea why. Does this trio of food have magical powers? If they were, collectively, an X-man, would their power be to sooth an upset stomach, reduce fever, and stop a cough? Would their mutant name be Ny-Kill? Editor's Note: Get it? Like Nyquil?

I don't know. In fact, I'm not even sure if they'll help him feel better. But, one things for sure, at least they'll serve as comfort food...

Unless his mom didn't do the same...

In which case, it may just seem creepy...

Dang it...
