Manamana...

Every now and then, as I journey through the world wide web, I am met by something familiar from my childhood. Undoubtedly, this encounter leaves me reminiscing of simpler times; times of slap bracelets, Trapper-Keepers, and Hypercolor. This morning, I found something that has lurked in the dark recesses of my mind for the past 20 years: the Manamana Song from The Muppet Show. I have had this song in my head since I was 6 years old, but I had no idea where it was from. I thought maybe Sesame Street. But I wasn't sure. So, as a gift to you (and a little bit of a curse, since it will now be stuck in your head); I give you the Manamana Song...

Oh my goodness I love this song! I was singing it to my husband the other night and he was like "What the heck is that?!" I thought the old men sang it though.

Yes!

Leave it to Jim Henson's brilliance.

...and it's the Muppet Show in German? Heck yes!

i can't believe you found a muppets clip. just last week in the denver airport i saw a billboard with kermits picture that said: "eats flies. dates a pig. hollywood star." i have no idea what it was advertising but it did make me laugh out loud.

i think these are cosmic signs that i'm overdue for a trip to disney and the muppets 4d theatre.
