Julie's Blog Suggestions: Part 2...

In following with Part 1 of this post, here's one more of Julie's topics...

13. All the Cars I've Owned/Driven...
(Listed in chronological order)

  • 1990 Toyota Camry DX (Blue)
The most beloved of any car I've ever had and the only one I've ever given a name to; Offroadcamry was my first. I used my High School graduation money to buy it from one of my mom's oldest friends. So many great stories have come from this car (right Keith?). Unfortunately, I totaled it on the interstate one night because another guy cut across 3 lanes of traffic to make an exit. R.I.P. old friend...

  • 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix (white)
A gift from my mom for my college graduation, the Grand Prix made a super long road trip with me and Todd in the summer of 2002. Unfortunately, mom wouldn't let me take it with me when I moved to California. She's still got it back in South Carolina. I drove it a little when I was home for Christmas and started calling it the white whale. For some reason, it now makes noises like a humpback whale when you turn...

  • 1990 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
Since I wasn't able to bring my car out to Cali with me, the church that I interned at in Orange County was nice enough to give me one (actually two, more on that later). It was a pretty sweet ride: 4x4, sunroof, etc. Only problem was that the gas cost so much I was running out of money and the sunroof leaked (more like flooded) during the one time of year SoCal gets rain. So, I moved onto...

  • 1996 Toyota Corolla
This was my replacement for the Montero. Not quite as cool, but so cheaper on the gas! It went with me when I left the OC and moved down to San Diego to start my first ministry. While in the OC, it held together awesomely. Unfortunately, once in SD, all of the problems began to surface. Almost $1800 later I spun out of the freeway one night. That's when I knew it was time to bite the bullet and move on...

  • 2001 Nissan Xterra
Second in my heart, but only to Offroadcamry. The Xterra is the first car I've bought completely on my own. It's what I drive right now and I love it. The picture is after some of my leaders got done with it when we were at winter camp in 2006. Awesome...
