    "begins life with God" - come on, Josh. You know he began life with God the moment he was conceived :). Or at the very least, I like to think of this as a next step, not the first, with whatever comes next happening in his time and experience. Just a thing. When anyone realizes the truth about Jesus, that's not a first step - might be an a-ha moment of sorts, but I hope God's already been tilling soil for that seed, right?
