Harrison Ford and the Amazing Six Year Stretch...

In preparation for this summer's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, I've decided to watch all three previous installments of our hero's adventures.

After doing some digging around on IMDb, I've decided that Harrison Ford may be the biggest movie star that's ever lived. As proof, I offer up a six-year piece of his resume. Ford did these movies back to back from 1980-1985. What a stretch...

  • Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back 1980

  • Raiders of the Lost Ark 1981

  • Blade Runner 1982

  • Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi 1983

  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 1984

  • Witness 1985

I think I remember a Jay Leno interview a year or so back with Samuel L Jackson, who had just passed Harrison Ford on being in the movies that collectively made the most $$. He's not in as many blockbusters, but there are a few, and then the overall volume put him over the edge. Up to that point, Ford had been in movies that collectively had made the most $$$ - all three Star Wars, all three Indy Jones, that flying one with Anne Heche and Working Girl and the Jack Ryan flicks, etc.
