For those of you outside of the southeast, the Waffle House isn't so much a fine dining establishment as it is a cultural rite of passage. I wouldn't really call the food good. It's more about the experience than the taste.
After we sat down tonight, I was greeted with a beautiful aroma that I have grown unaccustomed to in southern California. Turns out that smoking in restaurants isn't illegal here.
At one point in our meal, I looked up to find 7 people smoking all around me. Needless to say, I smell like smoke now.
Ugh... I need a shower...
